as you know, the garage games site was recently totally rewritten,
and one side effect is that old-style links to forum posts, blog posts, and resources no longer work.
this is a quick hack to convert those old links to new.
it should handle: forum threads, resources, blog posts, profiles.
if you encounter problems,
please figure out what the solution should be and post it to this blog post.
